With a burst of inspiration and a touch of bravery after hearing repeatedly what a great gift my service will make, I took Adventure Is Booked offline and brought it to some of our local holiday markets. I knew I needed more than a pile of gift cards to sell, and so Surprise Book Adventures came into being. I had such great success and support, that I’ve decided to continue seeking out in person pop ups and places to sell my merchandise. For my local readers, big news! You will be able to purchase Surprise Book Adventures starting in early February at The Creative Casita. And if you haven’t visited this lovely shop created to support female entrepreneurs, consider this your invitation to visit for gorgeous handmade goods, unique gifts, and vintage finds. Fair warning… I’ve yet to walk out of there without a little something!
What Are Surprise Book Adventures?
My Surprise Book Adventures are gently used or like new books I’ve foraged and decoratively wrapped. A description shares the genre and clues to help you decide if it is the right book for you. I’ve thoughtfully selected books I’ve read and enjoyed, or I know have been reliably enjoyed by others based on research and conversations. Here’s a fun video of me wrapping.

Harrington’s Tap House Pop Up - February 7
I’ve also planned a pop up at Harrington’s Taphouse on Saturday, February 7 from 2 - 4 pm. Drinking Horn Meadery will be there for a tasting as well. I recently lucked into an IMPRESSIVE collection of contemporary romance books so my theme is treat yourself to a Surprise Romantic Literary Getaway. Don’t worry, I will have plenty of options for the non-romance readers.
