Recommendation Service & Book Bundles

Order Processing , Shipping, Exchanges and Returns

Adventure is Booked strives to process orders within 7 business days. 

If we are experiencing a high volume of orders, shipments or processing of orders may be delayed by a few days. Customers will receive email communication if a longer processing time is anticipated.

Adventure Is Booked collaborates with Chapter One Book Store for shipping of books for Literary Getaway bundles. Please review their shipping and return policies here.

All recipients of a personalized recommendation service are entitled to one revision of their recommendation list in consultation with Adventure Is Booked. Recipient must provide usable feedback and adjustments to their recommendation request.

Printed and E-Gift Cards

Adventure is Booked is a personalized book recommendation service that is available only through creation of a reading profile and payment of a fee. Gift Cards are available for purchase that may be used to purchase products and services on adventureisbooked.com 

Purchase or use of Gift Cards are subject to these Gift Card Terms and Conditions and constitute a legally binding agreement made by and between us and you, the purchaser, recipient, or holder of a Gift Card (collectively, “you” and “your”).

BY PURCHASING, ACCESSING, REDEEMING, OR USING A GIFT CARD OR ANY ASSOCIATED CREDIT, YOU AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD AND AGREED TO BE BOUND BY THESE GIFT CARD TERMS, WHICH CONTAIN LIABILITY LIMITATIONS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO BE SO BOUND, YOU MAY NOT PURCHASE, ACCESS, REDEEM, OR USE ANY GIFT CARD OR ASSOCIATED CREDIT.

Use

Gift Cards may only be used to purchase products and services on adventureisbooked.com, and are not exchangeable for any other product or service that are not offered on the website. After purchase of a Digital Gift Card, an electronic Gift Card code will be emailed to the designated recipient for use toward purchases of products and services on adventureisbooked.com. 

Digital Gift Cards have a declining balance. When used during checkout, the Digital Gift Card amount will be applied to the total purchase amount and any remaining balance will remain on the Digital Gift Card and can be applied to future purchases. If the Gift Card holder’s purchase exceeds the amount of the Gift Card’s balance, the Gift Card holder must pay the difference.

Digital Gift Cards may be purchased for variable amounts. Gift Cards and associated credit cannot be exchanged for cash except where required by law. Gift Cards and associated credit cannot be used for previous purchases or the purchase of Gift Cards. No credit card, credit line, overdraft protection, or deposit account is associated with your Gift Card or associated credit. Once redeemed, a Gift Card (and associated credit) cannot be assigned or transferred. Gift Cards are not reloadable.

Printed Gift Cards are intended to be a one-time use, and may only be used for the designated item listed on the card. 

Loss

IF LOST OR STOLEN, GIFT CARDS CANNOT BE REPLACED.

Gift Cards should be treated like cash. We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or unauthorized use of Gift Cards. Risk of loss and title for Gift Cards passes to the purchaser upon transfer or electronic transmission to the recipient; for avoidance of doubt, such recipient may not always be you. A Gift Card is void if copied, altered, transferred, purchased or sold.

Limits

You may not purchase Gift Cards in a combined total amount that exceeds $500 in any single day. We reserve the right to limit quantities of Gift Cards purchased by any person or entity and to cancel a Gift Card if we believe that the Gift Card was obtained through fraudulent or unauthorized means. We reserve the right to close accounts and/or request alternative forms of payment if a Gift Card is fraudulently obtained or used.

Return/Refund

Purchases of Gift Cards are final and not refundable. We reserve the right to correct the balance of a Gift Card or any associated credit if we believe that a billing error has occurred, and we disclaim all liability for any such billing errors.

There is not an expiration date or penalty for not using a Gift Card within a specific timeframe, however refunds will not be issued if Adventure Is Booked is no longer in operation.

Communication and Revision

We may disclose to the purchaser of a Gift Card whether or not the recipient has redeemed the Gift Card. If the laws pertaining to Gift Cards require additional or different terms or conditions, then such terms and conditions shall apply.

From time to time, we may modify or revise these Gift Card Terms by posting such revisions through the Site. Revisions will become effective thirty (30) days after posting, and you agree to periodically review the Gift Card Terms to learn about these revisions.
